Abstract-Sound Operated
Automated Display System is necessary thing in any institution or public
utility places like bus stations, railway stations, schools, shopping centres,
etc. But pasting various notices day to day is a difficult process. A separate
person is required to do this task. This model refers to advanced wireless
notice board. The model is implemented using ARM controller raspberry pi 3
model B which is most important in this system. Display is acquired on LCD
monitor display. Internet is used for data transferring. At any instant, image
or text can be added as per the requirement. At transmitter sanction android
operated phone is used for conveying notices. At receiving end Wi-Fi router is
connected to raspberry pi. When an authenticated user sends a notice from the
system, it is received by receiver. Wireless is a popular technology that
allows an electronic device to transfer data wirelessly over a computer
network, including high speed wireless connections. The data is received from
authorized user. Then it sends to raspberry pi. This model is used for
displaying notices in colleges by passing messages; it is a wireless transmission
system which requires less maintenance and has minimum chances of error.  LCD monitor display is connected to raspberry
pi 3 model B for display. Python language is used for doing coding in system of
raspberry pi. Many users can access to update notices on the digital notice
board by providing them password.

Mobile Phones and the related technologies
are becoming more ubiquitous. Various technological areas in the field of
Tele-communication as well as Embedded Systems have come very near to the
common people. The people having cell phones are on the rise. A day will come,
somewhere in the future, when the mobiles are referred to in the same class of
Food, clothing and shelter. Automation is the most frequently spelled term in
the field of electronics. The hunger for automation brought many revolutions in
the existing technologies. This project makes use of an on board computer,
which is connected to Raspberry pi processor. Raspberry pi plays most important
role in the project.

                             The Raspberry Pi
is a credit-card-sized single-board computer invented by the Raspberry Pi Foundation
in the UK. The Raspberry Pi 2 model B has a Broadcom BCM2836 system on a chip
(SoC), which includes 900 MHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 (ARMv7 instruction set),
Broadcom Video Core IV @250MHz GPU, and with 1GB RAM. It does not include a
built-in hard disk or solid-state drive, but uses an SD card for long-term
storage and booting purpose.      

                             Android is a
software for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and
key applications. Android boasts a healthy array of connectivity options,
including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wireless data over a cellular connection (for
example, GPRS, EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution), and 3G). Android assigns
access to a variety of useful libraries and tools that can be used for creating
smart application.

                        The heart of the
complete system is a Raspberry pi 3 model B processor. The message is
transmitted through built application from user. Wi-Fi modem feeds this
information to Raspberry Pi 3 model Bprocessor which process it and displays it
on the LCD display. To perform this intelligent task, intelligent program
written using Linux is loaded in Raspberry pi.  Whenever user say something or write  something and send this message then message
will displayed on LCD display.





This project can be used in
offices, college, school, industry for displaying message.It will work on
internet so message can be send from long distance. It reduces the work load
and human interference Speech recognition technology is one from the fast
growing engineering technologies. It has a number of applications in different
areas and provides potential benefits. Nearly 20% people of the world are
suffering from various disabilities; many of them are blind or unable to use
their hands effectively.


                                   The speech
recognition systems in those particular cases provide a significant help to
them, so that they can share information with people by operating computer
through voice input. This project is designed and developed keeping that factor
into mind, and a little effort is made to achieve this aim. Our project is
capable to recognize the speech and convert the input audio into text and user
can also edit the message.


Scope of the Project


1. This technology may be further modified and more
updated as per individual need and interest.

2. It can be used at Highways for Advertising  purpose.

3. A moving display with variable speed can also be
used in place of static Display.

4. It may be modified for an announcing purpose by
adding speaker to it. 

5. It also
helps the user to open different system software such as opening Ms-paint,
notepad and calculator.




The main objective of this
project is to develop a wireless notice board that display message sent from
the user and to design a simple, easy to install user friendly system which can
receive and display notice in a particular manner with respect to date and time
which will help the user to easily keep the track of notice board every day and
each time he uses the system.

Ø  IoT and Wi-Fi are the wireless technology used to interfacing with
Raspberry pi module.

Ø  The project aims at designing a LCD Monitor based message display
controlled from an Android mobile phone. The proposed system makes use of
wireless technology to communicate from Android phone to LCD display board. The
system has a provision for giving message through text.

consists of two parts. One is the android app and another is a server url.

2.       First the user logs in to
the app. Then he has to assign the server url in the app (if not already

in background which is turned on always and after every 15 sec the next
available notice is displayed.

11.    If displaying of all
notices are over, then the first notice is displayed and the cycle is repeated.

12.    Only the notices in the
from-to date range are kept in the database and the old notices which are not
in the date range are deleted.

process to put up notices on the board.This wastes a lot of resources like
paper, printer ink,man power and also loss of time. In this paper we have
proposed a system which will enable people to wirelessly transmit notices on
display using Wi-Fi. This system allows only authenticated person to handle the
notice board. Transmission of data takes place through Wi-Fi in short period of
time. Less cost and save the resources like paper.

number of factors such as vocabularies, multiple users and noisy environment

contributes to speech recognition engine. The concept of speech recognition
started somewhere in 1940s, practically the first speech recognition program
was appeared in 1952 at the bell labs, that was about recognition of a digit in
a noise free environment. 1940s and 1950s consider as the foundational period
of the speech recognition technology, in this period work was done on the
foundational paradigms of the speech recognition that is automation and
information theoretic models . In the 1960’s we were able to recognize small
vocabularies (order of 10-100 words) of isolated words, based on simple
acoustic-phonetic properties of speech sounds. The key technologies that were
developed during this decade were, filter banks and time normalization methods.
In 1970s the medium vocabularies (order of 100-1000 words) using simple
template-based, pattern recognition methods were recognized. In 1980s large
vocabularies (1000-unlimited) were used and speech recognition problems based
on statistical, with a large range of networks for handling language structures
were addressed. The key invention of this era were hidden markov model (HMM)
and the stochastic language model, which together continuous speech recognition
enabled powerful new methods for handling problem efficiently and with high
performance. In 1990s the key technologies developed during this period were
the methods for stochastic language understanding, statistical learning of
acoustic and language models, and the methods for implementation of large
vocabulary speech understanding systems. After the five decades of research,
the speech recognition technology has successfully moved to marketplace, pay
off the users in large number  of ways.
